A scan may be processed temporarily in the cloud. A wine photo is stored only when you choose to save it.
Labelly does not sell personal information, serve third-party ads, or track you across other companies’ apps.
In-app account deletion removes your login, wine records, and saved wine images from active systems.
Labelly is operated by Takase Higashiuezato (“Labelly,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). For privacy questions or requests, contact tonyhiga0917@gmail.com.
This policy applies to the Labelly mobile app and this privacy and support website. It does not replace the privacy notices of Apple, Google, or other services you choose to use.
We process only the information needed to provide Labelly, keep it secure, and support purchases and requests.
Email address, internal user ID, and profile details that Apple or Google shares with your permission. Firebase Authentication processes sign-in credentials. We do not receive your Apple or Google password.
Label photos you submit, information extracted from a label, and generated details such as producer, region, vintage, tasting notes, pairings, and estimated price. AI output may be inaccurate.
Wine records you save, favorites, ratings, personal notes, tasting memories, and related preferences. A photo is uploaded to storage only when you save that wine.
Subscription product, status, entitlement, and transaction identifiers from Apple and RevenueCat. Labelly does not receive or store your full payment-card details.
IP address, request time, app or device version, limited diagnostic and security logs, and information you include when contacting support. This static website does not add analytics or advertising cookies, although hosting infrastructure may process request logs.
When supported by your device and operating system, Labelly may use Apple Vision and Foundation Models to analyze content on your device. If on-device analysis is unavailable or cannot complete the request, the scan may be sent securely to Labelly’s Google Cloud Run backend and processed with Vertex AI.
Cloud-processed scans may exist temporarily while a request is handled and in limited security or operational logs. They are not added to your saved wine library unless you choose Save. Service providers process information only to supply their respective services, subject to their terms and privacy commitments.
Authentication, Firestore account and wine records, Cloud Storage for wine images you save, and hosting.
Backend request handling and cloud AI analysis when the on-device route is unavailable or unsuccessful.
Sign in with Apple, on-device Vision and Foundation Models where available, and App Store in-app purchases.
Subscription entitlement and purchase-status management using transaction and app-user identifiers.
Where laws such as the GDPR require a legal basis, we rely on the basis appropriate to the purpose:
We disclose information to the service providers listed above only as needed to operate Labelly. We may also disclose information when required by valid legal process, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer where the recipient must continue to protect the information.
We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above:
You can initiate permanent deletion from Labelly’s Profile screen. Deletion removes the Firebase Authentication account, the user profile and saved wines in Firestore, and saved wine images in Cloud Storage from active Labelly systems. This cannot be undone.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of personal information, and to withdraw consent. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
Labelly is intended for people aged 13 or older and is not directed to children under 13. Where local law requires a higher age or parental consent for data processing, use Labelly only with that authorization. If you believe a child provided information without valid permission, contact tonyhiga0917@gmail.com so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate.
Labelly and its providers may process information in Japan, the United States, and other countries where they operate. Data-protection laws may differ from those in your country. Where required, transfers are handled through provider contractual and legal safeguards appropriate to the service and destination.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls and encrypted transport supported by our platforms. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Protect your device and sign-in credentials, and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.
We may update this policy when Labelly, our providers, or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised policy here and change the “Last updated” date. When appropriate, we will provide an additional notice in the app before a material change takes effect.
